Words are powerful.
They hold life and death significance and we, so often, tend to misuse them. But we ALSO fail to USE them.
SO today I propose we use our powers, not for good, but for AWESOME. Here's the plan:
Imagine if for 72 hrs (March 1st-March 4th, 2013 specifically) you habitual Facebook trolling (how many minutes do I do this in a day I wonder….?) revealed the "public" honoring of our friends to one another.
If we each commit to forego posting another rant on our momentary annoyance, a funny video or another picture of our baby/car/dog or to pass up talking about our favorite sports team or least favorite political he said/she said debate…If we don't just post "Hey Bro, Miss ya!" on someone's timeline because they cross our mind and INSTEAD
Then our Facebook Feed would become a LOVEfeed.
No selfish motivation or self-promotion, just simply changing the FACE of our social networking habits and making use of the power of our words.
WHAT DOES THIS LOOK LIKE?
(for those not as FB savvy)
Write (in your "Status") a TRUE and ENCOURAGING statement about a friend and "@theirname" Tag them in the statement.
It will show up on your timeline, their timeline and on the feed of people you know and people they know (even if you don't).
